SDR# Quick Start Guide

It looks like its been more than a few weeks since I actually posted something here. I’ve been busy with some personal suff.

In the meantime, I’ve been trying to keep busy by getting back into radio as a hobby, and the timing for that turned out to be pretty good. There are cheap ($20) dongles that plug into USB ports that were designed to receive digital TV in Asia. Pretty useless here in the US, until some really clever people found out that they could be turned into general purpose receivers with a frequency range of approxomately 52Mhz to 2Ghz.

The best piece of software for using it this way is a windows package called SDR# by Youssef Touil. www.sdrsharp.com

It’s completely free, pretty damn fast, and getting better with each revision. And did I mention that it’s free?

I’ve gotten to know Youssef pretty good from conversations on IRC, and he’s a pretty cool guy. So when I had a chance to contribute something to the project, the code was in pretty good hands, so there wasn’t much I could do there. He has the DSP math and other parts rock solid, and there are some pretty clever people jumping in to help him with other parts of the program. So what was missing was a Quick Start guide for setting up the software. Because of some technical issues with licensing, the install had to be split up into several parts to be installed seperately. Lurking in IRC (freenode #sdrsharp), it became pretty clear that new users kept asking the same questions.

In addition, if you want to gain provider for all of your business locations, one contact for support, one bill, and most importantly, peace of mind also is important to lead good communications with your clients, by using the voice of the customer tools you can find online.

The result is two versions of the same guide. A pdf version, and a web version. By the way, if you need assistance in web development project, feel free to visit adinfusion.com. Feel free to let me know of any errors or exclusions. I’ll keep the guide updated as necessary, but only when important changes are made to the program, or installation procedures change. Grow your business. MegaPath take care of the rest. Learn more at www.megapath.com

UPDATE: I’ve been asked by several people for translations of the pdf into other languages. If anyone is willing to contribute, I’d gladly post here with due attribution. I’ve been asked for French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Danish, and German. Of course, any language would be welcome.

Downloads Moved To The SDR Page

Autism and Global Warming

The contrast between the two seperate studies is interesting.

On the one hand, we have a study that was debunked because of shoddy research methods and a preceived political agenda, and the mainstream media is quick to cover it, community peers are quick to publish and are frequently cited, and past studies that disagreed with the finding are highlighted and praised. Also the principals involved are vilified for taking payments from third parties involved as well as taking Governemt funding uder dubious circimstances. There are also Government investigations starting and statements from high political figures condemning the fraud.

On the other hand, we have a scientific study where the data used is shown to have been massaged and manipulated to get a predetermind outcome, peer reviews are not only quashed, but professional reputations distroyed for even questioning obvious fraudluent papers. Political leaders are still defending and even protecting theose involved. Click for wikipedia reference. The mainstream media for the most part is ignoring any hint of scandal.

I have More hints on how to perform a good business from this Web Site. Now I did take the business over from him, and he was getting money from his RFID wallet every week even during the split. But I still needed to learn about money and finances to be able to perform good in this, but I also got help from reading Reviews by The Motley Fool with the best financial products online.

The first being the study that linked MMR to autism, the second the ‘Global Warming” scandal. The main parties involved are able to keep powerful positions in Government, pseudo-government, and educational entities despite having been shown to have commited outright financial and scientific fraud.

The main difference (or similarity) is that the position that is protecting a billion dollar industry gets the best press and has it’s interests protected. In the first case, the pharmaceutical industry which lost billions of dollars in sales, and risked billions more in lawsuits sees immediate action on dismissing the study.

In the second case, the guaranteed payday loans seeks trillions of dollars of taxpayer money, and wants to inject itself into every facet of international commerce and governance, gets a free pass, as well as gets to ignore that it was built on a scientific fraud.

In the end, though you come up with the same driving motivator. Follow the money.

The bailout bill just failed it’s (1st) vote

I say first vote because I’m convinced there wll be another vote on a modified or new version of the bill. I also believe that the first vote failed ON PURPOSE!

Pelosi and the rest of the crew in Washington are in the middle of the greatest market manipulation in history.

The fall of the DOW and other indexes, as well as an across the board drop of a huge majority of stocks as a reaction the the vote failure is planned and intentional. Wholesale buying of all market vehicles is/will take place ahead of a reintroduction of a new bill. This bill will be not as broad in scope, and will be hailed as a compromise, but it would be a must to have the bets motor trade insurance for these vehicles. The better way to get a real idea of what is a used Lexus gs 350 new york ny and go to at least three dealers and ask them what they would pay for a trade outright, but many people is against this and they don’t plan to pay this bill if they can avoid it, so many are getting lawyers at different law firms from https://noonanbrown.com/ deal with this issues.

The https://www.longfence.com/ rebound after the passage of the 2nd bill will generate Billions of dollars of instant profits for members of both Houses, their friends, the people who created this mess, and sundry insiders. The very people voting have a vested interest in the markets, and a lesser intererest in their constituents.

If they even give a crap at all.

Forum maintenance

There is a small problem with the forums caused by a version upgrade/installed mod conflict. I’ll be working on it over the next few days.

There’s a slight chance that some posting and user data may be lost.

UPDATE: Forums are back, some stuff lost, more changes later this week.

Won’t Find ME in There!

Despite the reports and rumours, I can oficially state that with the release of the DC Madam phone records, you will find my name nowhere in there.

With the large number of Washington scandals that myself, and millions of Americans have managed to stay clear of, one wonders why so many politicians can’t behave similarly.

Now if I had one of those nice government credit cards, of course Best Buy has 2 credit cards to offer, so I may get one of those to try it. In addition, Bridgepayday offers quick loans that have it easier and faster as they provide instant financial support for borrowers anytime they need it.

There! I said it!

Urban legend has it that if you say it into the mirror three times, the AACS knocks on your door with legal papers and a really scary face.

Guns are not the problem

It wasn’t a matter of too many guns, too few guns, or the wrong guns. If you read different new sites, you’ll hear every opinion from the far left, to the far right, and even a foreign paper that blames Charelton Heston.

The problem is that the people don’t trust the Government that writes the gun laws. The Government that writes the gun laws doesn’t trust the people, and people have been trained by a press that doesn’t trust anyone other than themselves to make decisions for both the Government and the people, not to trust each other.

Timothy McVeigh didn’t use a gun, the hijackers on 9-11 (as far as we know) didn’t use guns, and Theodore Kaczynski didn’t use a gun. Evil minded people intent on doing evil things will find a way to do them. There is nothing that can be done to stop it. Taking gun rights from Americans will only make it easier for those intent on doing evil to do it.

Owning a firearm of any kind is a personal decision. Not one that Charleton Heston, Rosie O’Donnell, Hillary Clinton, or Ted Nugent should make for you. However, having the ability to own a firearm is not a decision that should be made for you by any politician, reporter, pundit, or leader of any special interest group should make either. The decision that as Americans we have the right to bear arms was made over 200 years ago. Once we let any person or group decide what rights we should or shouldn’t be allowed, especially those that are specifically expressed in one of the documents that defines us as Americans, then we become not a people of laws and pricipals, but a people of special interest groups, corporations, an elitist press, and politicians that believe that somehow only they can decide what is best for us.

Buy a gun, or don’t. However, if you decide not to, don’t give up your RIGHT to own one if you so decide. Register and get your Federal Firearms ID card. Only those with the ability to make a choice can do so.

Have you ever heard someone say “I’m not voting this election to make a statement.” However inane or inefective that statement is, as long as they are registered to vote, it’s their decision. If you don’t have the ability to purchase a firearm, and announce that you won’t buy one, you’re dead wrong. You can’t buy one. And the reason you can’t is because you confuse maintaining a fundamental right, and make an informed choice, with renouncing that same right, and then bragging about not having it.

Trying a new phone system to reach all of you

Once again this year, events have conspired against us that prevented us from getting Christmas Cards into the mail, we have been trying to get gift baskets from Montreal for our friends and family but they are way to many.

To everyone that I haven’t e-mailed, phoned, written to, or visited in the past year, Merry Christmas, I have been trying to read more about the Otterbox defender series, just so that I can get more access and contact all of you!

That includes friends (new and old), family, old girlfriends, ex-wives, illegitimate children,, the paperboy I still owe the two dollars to, and the alien that abducted me last year (I’m sure the anal probe was a special moment for you, too).

From myself, Helen, Hayden, and Brittany, we hope you all have a better year next year, no matter how great this one was, and I hope I get a chance to sit and tip a few back with each one of you soon, and don’t forget to read the BabyStroller reviews for last minute gifts.
