ADSB# Quickstart

I’m working on a quickstart guide for the new ADSB# (www.sdrsharp.com) and I’ll be posting it up here in a day or so. I will include interface guides for PlanePlotter and Virtual Radar Server.

SDR# Quick Start Guide

It looks like its been more than a few weeks since I actually posted something here. I’ve been busy with some personal suff.

In the meantime, I’ve been trying to keep busy by getting back into radio as a hobby, and the timing for that turned out to be pretty good. There are cheap ($20) dongles that plug into USB ports that were designed to receive digital TV in Asia. Pretty useless here in the US, until some really clever people found out that they could be turned into general purpose receivers with a frequency range of approxomately 52Mhz to 2Ghz.

The best piece of software for using it this way is a windows package called SDR# by Youssef Touil. www.sdrsharp.com

It’s completely free, pretty damn fast, and getting better with each revision. And did I mention that it’s free?

I’ve gotten to know Youssef pretty good from conversations on IRC, and he’s a pretty cool guy. So when I had a chance to contribute something to the project, the code was in pretty good hands, so there wasn’t much I could do there. He has the DSP math and other parts rock solid, and there are some pretty clever people jumping in to help him with other parts of the program. So what was missing was a Quick Start guide for setting up the software. Because of some technical issues with licensing, the install had to be split up into several parts to be installed seperately. Lurking in IRC (freenode #sdrsharp), it became pretty clear that new users kept asking the same questions.

In addition, if you want to gain provider for all of your business locations, one contact for support, one bill, and most importantly, peace of mind also is important to lead good communications with your clients, by using the voice of the customer tools you can find online.

The result is two versions of the same guide. A pdf version, and a web version. Feel free to let me know of any errors or exclusions. I’ll keep the guide updated as necessary, but only when important changes are made to the program, or installation procedures change. Grow your business. MegaPath take care of the rest. UPDATE: I’ve been asked by several people for translations of the pdf into other languages. If anyone is willing to contribute, I’d gladly post here with due attribution. I’ve been asked for French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Danish, and German. Of course, any language would be welcome.

“I am surrounded by priests who repeat incessantly that their kingdom is not of this world, and yet they lay their hands on everything they can get.” — Napoleon Bonaparte

Thought that was an interesting quote for some reason…

Father Anthony Forte is a hypocrite and a liar…

…he also treats his own mother like shit.

Here’s a little back story.

A little over 5 years ago my parents split up. Or more specifically, one day I got a phone call to pick my mom up at the police station. That night she moved in with us at our house. She stayed there for just under a year and a half while the division of property took place and all the legal stuff got taken care of. After that she’s set up where I take care of most of her expenses, etc. That includes closing the shop while I drive her around to the various doctors she sees and dealing with the clinical negligence solicitors because she doesn’t choose her doctors well enough. I also do her shopping for her since she pretty much can’t get out on her own because of arthritis and just being 83.

Autism and Global Warming

The contrast between the two seperate studies is interesting.

On the one hand, we have a study that was debunked because of shoddy research methods and a preceived political agenda, and the mainstream media is quick to cover it, community peers are quick to publish and are frequently cited, and past studies that disagreed with the finding are highlighted and praised. Also the principals involved are vilified for taking payments from third parties involved as well as taking Governemt funding uder dubious circimstances. There are also Government investigations starting and statements from high political figures condemning the fraud.

On the other hand, we have a scientific study where the data used is shown to have been massaged and manipulated to get a predetermind outcome, peer reviews are not only quashed, but professional reputations distroyed for even questioning obvious fraudluent papers. Political leaders are still defending and even protecting theose involved. The mainstream media for the most part is ignoring any hint of scandal.

I have More hints on how to perform a good business from this Web Site. Now I did take the business over from him, and he was getting money from his RFID wallet every week even during the split.

The main parties involved are able to keep powerful positions in Government, pseudo-government, and educational entities despite having been shown to have commited outright financial and scientific fraud.

The first being the study that linked MMR to autism, the second the ‘Global Warming” scandal.

The main difference (or similarity) is that the position that is protecting a billion dollar industry gets the best press and has it’s interests protected. In the first case, the pharmaceutical industry which lost billions of dollars in sales, and risked billions more in lawsuits sees immediate action on dismissing the study.

In the second case, the guaranteed payday loans seeks trillions of dollars of taxpayer money, and wants to inject itself into every facet of international commerce and governance, gets a free pass, as well as gets to ignore that it was built on a scientific fraud.

In the end, though you come up with the same driving motivator. Follow the money.

The bailout bill just failed it’s (1st) vote

I say first vote because I’m convinced there wll be another vote on a modified or new version of the bill. I also believe that the first vote failed ON PURPOSE!

Pelosi and the rest of the crew in Washington are in the middle of the greatest market manipulation in history.

The fall of the DOW and other indexes, as well as an across the board drop of a huge majority of stocks as a reaction the the vote failure is planned and intentional. Wholesale buying of all market vehicles is/will take place ahead of a reintroduction of a new bill. This bill will be not as broad in scope, and will be hailed as a compromise, but it would be a must to have the bets motor trade insurance for these vehicles. The better way to get a real idea of what is a used Lexus gs 350 new york ny and go to at least three dealers and ask them what they would pay for a trade outright, but many people is against this and they don’t plan to pay this bill if they can avoid it, so many are getting lawyers at different law firms from https://noonanbrown.com/ deal with this issues.

The https://www.longfence.com/ rebound after the passage of the 2nd bill will generate Billions of dollars of instant profits for members of both Houses, their friends, the people who created this mess, and sundry insiders. The very people voting have a vested interest in the markets, and a lesser intererest in their constituents.

If they even give a crap at all.

More men are having plastic surgery to look younger and get rid of their ‘dad bod’

The ”dad bod” trend is over — and men are paying big to move on from it.

Traditionally women have gotten Skinmd1 kybella plastic surgery at higher rates than men, but now more men than ever are participating in the $14 billion plastic surgery industry, data released this week by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons showed.

Among men, there has been a boost in body contouring procedures such as liposuction (up 23%), tummy tucks (up 12%) and male breast reductions (up 30%) in the past year.

Those procedures help men shed the doughy exteriors that many associate with men who have settled down to have children and may not have the time — or incentive — to keep their bodies as sculpted as they once were.

“Men are now realizing it doesn’t take away from your masculinity to have a cosmetic procedure that makes you feel good about yourself,” she said.

More than 1.3 million cosmetic procedures were performed on men in 2017, up around 1% from the previous year, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The accounted for 8% of all cosmetic procedures. (Women had 14.5 million cosmetic procedures last year, a 2% increase on the previous year.)

The still-sizable number of men going under the knife is owed largely to changing social norms, said Lorelei Grunwaldt, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Pittsburgh.

With that in mind, more surgeons are targeting men. Daniel Maman, a cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon at 740 Park Plastic Surgery practice in New York City said his practice’s website now features a dedicated drop-down menu listing procedures specifically targeted at men.

And a Marina Del Ray, Calif. plastic surgeon, Grant Stevens, has opened a stand-alone clinic just for men called Marina Manland. Outfitted with leather chairs, it’s designed to feel like a combination spa, sports bar and cigar lounge.

Forum maintenance

There is a small problem with the forums caused by a version upgrade/installed mod conflict. I’ll be working on it over the next few days.

There’s a slight chance that some posting and user data may be lost.

UPDATE: Forums are back, some stuff lost, more changes later this week.
